Dariush from Iran says, "Thank you!"
Tuesday, January 26, 2021
A brother in Iran recently sent a message for all our dear partners:
"Greetings to you brothers and sisters... Praise God for every one of you dear ones who serve us and build us up through the Word of God. The grace of God has enabled us to serve and share the good news of the Gospel with many others."
Dariush,* the man who sent this message, is one of hundreds of new evangelists in Iran who have begun sharing Christ as a result of their being discipled through Safar.
When he sent that voice message, Dariush had just shared the Gospel in a remarkable encounter with his taxi driver, who had been wanting a Bible, the Word of God, for a long time. When he received a New Testament from Dariush, he was overjoyed and promised to read it from cover to cover.
It is courageous people like Dariush that remind us how much the Lord did in 2020, despite the challenges we all faced.
And Iran's courageous Christians give us so much hope for 2021: As ordinary believers are faithfully discipled, the Lord is working powerfully through them.
Dariush is right: You are one of the 'dear ones' serving the Iranian church. It's your prayers and partnership that have enabled him and others to be built up and equipped to share the Gospel. Thank you.
Would you please pray with us:
For Dariush and other new evangelists as they courageously share Christ
For us as we plan for the year amid the uncertainty of the pandemic
For God to graciously do even more this year to build His church
Thank you.
