On June 28th Iranians will go to the polls to elect a new president following the unexpected death of President Raisi in a helicopter crash in May.

Only six candidates, approved by the Supreme Leader, are in the running. Deeply-disillusioned Iranians have little faith in the political process, so a low voter turnout is expected.

At this time, Iranian Christians are praying for their nation and invite you to join them. Here are three themes for prayer:

1. Those suffering under the oppression and injustices perpetrated by      the government

2. More Iranians - most of whom lack any hope in their leaders - to find hope in Jesus Christ

3. Christians to stand firm under persecution, especially if a fresh wave of persecution comes.
